Fools and jesters create an exuberant atmosphere and colourful hustle and bustle in the city centre. Whether at the carnival parade, the carnival fair or the monster concert, one thing is certain: it will be colourful and loud.
Under the Feldkirch carnival motto "Spälta, Spälta, Hoch", fools take over the sceptre in Feldkirch for two days during carnival time. Numerous Mäschgerle, Guggamusiken and Fasnatsgruppen from near and far ensure a colourful hustle and bustle in the town centre. From monster concerts, carnival fairs and night processions to the Fools' Mile and the traditional international carnival parade, a colourful, noisy programme of carnival extravaganza is put together every year to ensure a lively atmosphere in Feldkirch's streets.
