Founded in 1986 by Prof. Fidel Schurig, the Theaterwerkstatt Feldkirch is a vibrant gathering place for theater lovers of all ages; it delights audiences with its annual productions and enriches the city’s cultural life.

Cinema experience in the heart of the city centre

The GUK has two cinemas. In addition to the TaS cinema programme, the film selection also includes current productions and blockbusters as well as children's films.

Curated by the film group of the Theater am Saumarkt, the GUK Kino has its own programme, in which sophisticated, current films (usually in the original language with subtitles) are shown.

Theatre at the Saumarkt

The former pig market gave the theatre its name. The beginnings of the theatre date back to 1972. The Saumarkt theatre sees itself as an important regional cultural mediator that constantly picks up on current cultural and artistic trends.
