With around 20 000 visitors, the Gauklerfestival on July 31 and August 1 once again proved to be a major crowd-puller in Feldkirch’s Old Town. For two days, international artists transformed the historic alleys and squares into a lively stage filled with acrobatics, humor, music, juggling, and amazing fire performances.

The weather was indeed changeable: pleasant temperatures rather than intense summer heat, with occasional brief rain showers throughout the festival. However, this did nothing to dampen the good mood. The audience remained undeterred and rewarded the performers with enthusiastic applause and generous tips. Whether it was spectacular acrobatics, charming clowning, thrilling fire shows, or humorous skits—the varied program delighted visitors of all ages. At the eight venues, people laughed, marveled, and cheered along. Family-friendly activities, such as the interactive circus and the children’s program, were also very popular. Juggler Stefan Florescu (Romania) and the aerial acrobatics duo Flare Performance (Austria) were particularly well-received.

The Gauklerfestival proved once again why it has been one of Feldkirch’s most popular summer events for many years: it brings people together, creates unforgettable moments, and fills the Old Town with international flair, joie de vivre, and the special magic of street art.
